A certain information regarding the future release of the compact Colorado 400 Bluechart GPS navigator phone has begun circulating across the web recently. The new device by Garmin received a quick review of the main characteristic by the Bass Pro site.

Looks like we'll be getting a real 'sailor phone'. The casing is extremely resistant to water (salty sea water as well), the preinstalled map set includes the maps of USA coasts, the Great Lakes, Hawaii, Alaska). There are speculations about a 'dry land' modification of the device currently not announced. The site states that the release is planned for the coming spring. The price will be around $600.
