The Toshiba company presented the public with their latest development in the sphere of charging devices - the Super Charge Ion Battery, which is able of charging up to 90% in less than five minutes. The battery sports a life cycle often years! The first shipments of the product will come in March 2008, as planned by the manufacturer. By 2015 Toshiba's estimated revenue from selling this only product will reach ¥100 billion. It's difficult to say how long will it take the novelty to conquer the market, but considering the unbelievably short charging cycle and an equally amazing lifetime, let alone the resistance to physical damage and overheating, it seems that the period between market entry and hitting the top charts will be almost negligible.
A version of the device suitable for casual and PDA phones is estimated to appear by the end March 2008, according to an unapproved information.
