The Opera Software company have announced their mobile and desktop browsers to support the Google Gears plugin from now on. In particular, such functionality will be added to the Opera Mobile 9.5 browser, which is going to be released this year. According to the Opera Software representatives, the support for Gears is an important part of the company’s software development process.
The Google Gears plugin allows you to make use of a number of Google services, such as Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Reader and others, when network connection is unstable or even completely released. The plugin makes the browser work with the local cache of the web pages, synchronizing it with the online source once the connection is restored.
