The Pocket-lint web source announced that GestureTek struck a deal with Sony Ericsson to power their gadgets with specific software providing motion sense capabilities to the phone cameras.
Naturally enough, such “sensors” have an accuracy lower than the hardware accelerometers used in Apple iPhone or Wiimote. However you get the opportunity to turn any of the existing Sony Ericsson handsets into a game console with an advanced motion-controlled interface, since the primary requirement is an onboard camera.
Nothing is known yet about the availability of GestureTek software for other platforms, but there must be no technical obstacles to that.
