MiTAC presented a whole line of new gadgets supporting GPS at the Computex 2008 show.
Mio Leap K1 is very interesting. It’s a dual sided GPS-phone supplied with two screens (one on each side of the classical candy bar casing). The handset is a phone on one side and a GPS-navigator on the other. Switching between modes is done by pressing a dedicated button and, naturally, turning the device active side toward the user. An onboard camera and Bluetooth are available and the navigation system makes use of the MioMap 2008 software.
- Mio Leap K1 specs:
- Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional
- GPS and A-GPS support
- Quad band GSM/GPRS + EDGE
- Samsung 2443 CPU at 400Mhz
- 64MB of RAM
- 2GB of ROM
- 5 hours of talktime
- 320×240 resolution
