SMAPE  News  A dual-mode Qisda supporting WiMAX

At WiMAX Expo 2008 the Qisda Company also known as BenQ put on display their new smartphone supporting WiMAX and GSM/GPRS/EDGE networks.

The gadget’s name remains undisclosed, but there is information that the PDA-phone is running the Windows Mobile 6.1 Operating System, is equipped with a Wi-Fi unit and supports VoIP. The handset is providing for a maximum data transfer rate of 2 Mb/s, though the manufacturer isn’t going to content itself with such results and claims a future increase in this parameter up to 10 Mb/s.
