The gadget will be offered at the most favorable price to those who have already bought the previous version of the iPhone and have entered into a contract with the carrier. This type of users will get the 8Gb version for $199 and the 16Gb one for $299.
The consumers having no contract yet will have to shell out $399 on the 8Gb variant and $499 on the 16Gb one.
For those who aren’t that eager to sign a contract with AT&T the gadgets will cost $599 and $699 respectively. In this case the user will get a perfectly legal unlocked device.
The iPhone will come with the preinstalled software set including support for Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync and iPhone Software Development Kit, which allows for application development. Among the applications AT&T is going to preinstall there is also Yellowpages.com Mobile for the iPhone.
