The most remarkable feature of Samsung i8510 is surely its 8 Mpix autofocusing camera sporting the Image Stabilization and Face Detection features and the ability to geotag your digital photos. Video shooting is available in 640x480 resolution at 30 fps as well as landscape shooting.

Samsung i8510 is a slider running the Symbian 9.3 S60 3rd Edition OS. Besides, it is capable of playing DivX, WMA and H.264 video files without re-encoding. In its turn, the sound is processed by the DNSe (Digital Natural Sound Engine) system and played through the stereo speakers.

Let's also mention the presence of a 3D accelerator, which is yet quite rare for mobile handsets.

 i8510 will be available in Europe from August 2008. Thanks to such urgency Samsung automatically becomes a leader in the market of new wave cameraphones. For example, Nokia will release their counterpart only next year.  It’s for the first time that the Korean manufacturer outpaced the Finnish on their own field – Symbian. It should be mentioned that the i8510 cameraphone is going to pose competition to Sony Ericsson C905 and LG KC910 planned for release for about the same time and equipped with 8 Mpix cameras too, but unlike Samsung i8510 Primera – with xenon flashes. Yet both of them are casual phones, while i8510 is a fully developed smartphone.
