Nokia 5800 is equipped with a 3.2’’ TFT screen with a resolution of 640x360 px and a color palette of 16M colors; the screen matrix sports a full touch action capability – something the fans of Symbian S60 have long been dreaming of, jealous of Symbian UIQ solutions. Originally the solution was planned to give birth to a new XpressMedia product family, though currently it is decided that Tube will expand the well-known XpressMusic series.XpressMedia.

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic measures 115 x 52 x 14,5 mm and weighs 104 g. Quite adequate values for the announced stuffing. The smartphone is equipped with a 3 Mp auto-focusing camera sporting Carl Zeiss optics, a double LED flash and a photo geo-tagging capability provided by the onboard GPS unit supporting A-GPS.

Nokia XpressMusic has 140 Mb of onboard memory and a microSD memory card slot supporting capacities up to 8 Gb. The new product is powered by a high-capacity Nokia BL-5J battery (1320 mAh)

According to the exclusive announcement made by the official sources especially for Smape.com, the announce is planned for September; the device will become available at retail starting from late November / early December, the estimated starting price is 360 euros. This makes the device a potential bestseller and one of the most anticipated smartphones. We hope Nokia will keep up with the good work, delivering the revolutionary Tube in six weeks, as currently claimed.
