The EM25, EM28 and EM30 models expand the ROKR line, being affordable offers with a universal 3.5 mm audio output on the casing. Such handsets are few in the market, which is to Motorola’s advantage. The company is gradually growing noticeable from the outsider of the music segment. The said Sony Ericsson, for example, don’t utilize an integrated 3.5mm output. Nokia and Samsung almost don’t offer analogues in this class. As a result the ROKR automatically becomes a mass line even against the background of more widespread Walkman and XpressMusic.
The products’ success will be determined by their promotion, in particular by their timely release to the market. It’s the third quarter for the world market now, which is quite ambitious. Let’s keep in mind the delay of E8 and hope that Motorola drew a correct conclusion. Together with other gadgets, such successful and potentially mass-oriented products are quite able to help the manufacturer gain a tight grip of the third place of world sales and make a solid break from LG and Sony Ericsson.
