The info about another new gadget by the Sony Ericsson company codenamed Hikaru has appeared on the web. The device is known to belong to the high-end segment, come in the slider form factor and sport a touchscreen. The gadget will be equipped with an 8.1Mp camera and its onboard storage capacity is expected to be 8GB. No real Hikaru photos are yet available, but it may look like a display phone presented below.

The official announcement date for the Sony Ericsson Hikaru handset remains undisclosed at this stage.

The other anticipated model to be launched next year is Sony Ericsson Twiggy. The handset will succeed the W350 model belonging to the Walkman series. The gadget is known to sport a 240x320-pixel screen and a 3.2Mp camera. It will come in two color options.

The handset is going to hit the shelf in the second quarter of 2009.
